Long-Haired Girl Resting in Profile with Knees Up

A girl with very long, straight hair sits on the ground in profile, her knees drawn up and her eyes closed. One hand is raised near her chin in a small fist, and a round bangle circles her wrist. She wears a simple strapped top and shorts, and a string of beads hangs at her hip. Behind her, a large pair of feathered wings rises up and sweeps down past her back, with lots of long, pointed feather lines to fill in. Her hair trails off in curling tips near the bottom. Try soft gradients on the wings, like pale blue fading into lavender, and leave the hair a contrasting shade so the long strands stand out. The big open areas on the hair and skin also make this a nice page for practicing smooth, even shading with colored pencils. Free to print at home or in class.
