Leaping Anime Character with Long Wispy Hair

A young anime character with very long, wispy hair is caught mid-leap, one arm stretched toward the viewer with fingers spread wide and the other arm bent back behind them. The hair streams out in long pointed strands on both sides, with a small tuft sticking up on top. They wear a short-sleeved jacket over a fitted top, baggy pants with a studded belt, and tall cuffed boots. A small tool or handle pokes out of a pocket near the hip. The linework is clean and bold, so it works well for older kids and teens who like anime art. Try coloring the hair in a gradient, starting with a dark shade at the roots and fading to a lighter tone at the tips. The big open spaces in the pants and jacket also make good practice for shading folds with a second, slightly darker pencil. This printable page gives plenty of room for experimenting.
