Aquaman springs through the air with one knee raised and his arms swept out to the sides, glancing off to the left with a determined look. His scale-patterned suit has fish-scale details on the chest, shoulders and arms, plus cuffed wristbands and a belt at the waist. Big curling waves, splashes, small round bubbles and swooping curved shapes fill the page around him and make everything feel like it's moving. The large open spaces on the suit and in the water are easy for little hands. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the skin areas (face, neck, arms, hands, legs) with peach skin, leaving the small light highlights on the arm and body white.
- 2Fill the shirt covering the chest, waist and arms with royal blue, keeping the white collar trim and the white stripes at the wrists.
- 3Color the swim trunks with ocean blue, then add pale sky blue to the big water splashes around the body, the wave on the left and the wave on the right.
- 4Fill the smaller splashes at the bottom and the spray near the feet with pale sky blue, leaving the background and the white gap between the legs unpainted.
- 5Optional: Add a little extra royal blue along the shadowed side of the shirt and ocean blue at the edges of the splashes for depth.
- 6Leave the hair, the sky and the empty background white to keep the page bright and clean.
