Aquaman Portrait With an Eel and Underwater Bubbles
Coloring guide
A smiling Aquaman fills the page, drawn from the shoulders up with a calm, confident look and swept-back, spiky hair. One hand is raised beside his face, and a long striped eel curves through the water above his head. Round bubbles in different sizes float around them to show the scene is underwater. His shoulders carry the scaly texture of his suit, and a small DC Comics mark sits at the bottom. His face and hair are big open areas that small hands can handle, while the scales, eel stripes and bubbles are good for older kids who like finer detail. Bright orange for the suit and soft green or silvery blue for the eel will stand out against light blue bubbles. Download the free PDF for a classroom project or weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the face, neck, raised hand, fingers and bare shoulders with peach skin, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 2Color the long eel body, its head and its top stripe teal, keeping the thin white stripes on the eel white.
- 3Fill the top and sides of the hair with bright lemon yellow, add golden yellow to the lower side locks, and leave the white streaks uncolored.
- 4Color all the round bubbles around the eel and near the hand light sky blue, leaving a small white shine in each bubble.
- 5Color the wristband and the eel tail with bright lemon yellow and golden yellow, then leave the background water white.
- 6Optional: add a touch of amber brown to the shadowed hair near the forehead and the strands at the back of the head for depth.
