Hatchling Dragon Looking Back Over Its Shoulder

Coloring guide

A young dragon stands on four chunky paws with its head turned to look back over its shoulder, big round eyes and a small horn on its snout. Two tall horns rise from its head, and a row of small spikes runs down its curved neck. Patterned scales mark its cheek, and a braided-looking chest plate sits under the chin. Feathered wings are tucked along its back, and a long tail curls up at the tip with a ruffled edge. Pieces of cracked eggshell are still attached around its back legs. Try coloring the shell in soft speckled tones, then give the feathers a gradient from light to dark, working one row at a time. It also works well for a storytime activity about what the dragon might do on its first day out of the egg. Print as many copies as you need for a group.
