One ear points up and the other flops down, and his small snout, dot eyes and curved eyebrows give him a gentle, happy face. His shirt is made of wide horizontal stripes, and his round feet poke out in front. Since there's no background, little ones get lots of clean space to work in. Large shapes and bold outlines make it a good fit for preschoolers using crayons. Pink would suit his skin and ears, and a bold purple or magenta could go on the shirt stripes. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the piglet head, both arms, the left shoulder and the right leg with caramel tan, leaving the face details for later.
- 2Color both floppy ears chocolate brown, working carefully around the edges of the head.
- 3Color the shirt stripes, alternating royal blue and baby blue, starting with a royal blue stripe just under the neck.
- 4Fill the two feet soles with pale yellow so they stand out against the blue shirt.
- 5Color the snout salmon pink and the open mouth brick red, leaving the small teeth area lightly unfilled.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of chocolate brown or caramel tan along the edges of the ears and arms for a little depth.
