Bald Eagle Flying With American Flag in Talons

A bald eagle soars diagonally across the page with both wings raised high, its head turned left and its beak slightly open. The feathers on the wings are drawn in long separate lines, and the tail fans out behind the body. In its talons the eagle carries a large American flag that streams down and to the right. The flag shows the stripes along the bottom and a field of small stars in the upper corner, with wavy folds near the tip of the trailing end. This is a nice fit for a 4th of July craft table. Try white, brown, and gold for the eagle, then red and blue for the flag. Kids can also count the rows of stars and talk about what the flag stands for.
