Basketball Swishing Through the Net at the Rim

Coloring guide
A basketball sits right at the rim of a hoop, with the top half of the ball still above the ring and the bottom half dropping down into the net. The ball has the usual curved seam lines across its surface. The net is drawn as long, twisting strands that criss-cross each other and sweep down toward the lower right, which makes it look like the ball has just swished through. The thick outline and large open spaces between the strands are easy for small hands to fill in. Try coloring the ball a bright orange with dark seams and giving the net strands alternating team colors like red and white. This page is also a nice fit for a sports unit, a basketball party, or a quiet break after gym class, since kids can talk about shooting, scoring, and their favorite players while they color.
