Batman Standing Ready With Rope and Batarang

Batman stands in a wide, powerful stance with his feet planted apart and his long cape flowing out behind him. He wears the pointed-ear cowl, a bat emblem on his chest, gloves with spiked fins on the forearms, boots, and a utility belt with several pouches. In one hand he holds a coiled rope, and the line stretches across his body to his other fist, where a bat-shaped batarang hangs at the end. The drawing uses bold black shapes with large white areas, so the cape, cowl, and boots are easy to spot. Try coloring the cape and cowl in deep blue and gray, then use yellow for the belt and bat emblem. This free printable also works well for talking about how shadows and solid black shapes give a drawing weight.
