Seaside I Spy Beach Day with Sandcastle and Sailboat
Coloring guide
A smiling sun with triangular rays beams over this simple beach scene, with two puffy clouds drifting by. A big striped umbrella leans in from the left, and way out on the wavy water a small sailboat floats with its flag up. Up front, a sandcastle with two small towers, a taller center tower and a little flag sits next to a round beach ball with curved panels. A bucket with a handle, a scallop shell and dotted sand finish things off. Large shapes and bold lines make this free printable a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids building pencil control. Bright yellow suits the sun, red and white stripes can alternate on the umbrella, and the beach ball can get a rainbow. The shell and bucket also work as hidden items to find before anyone starts coloring. This page is part of our I Spy coloring pages collection — check out Bubble Letters and Countries too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the sun face and all its rays golden yellow, leaving the sun's eyes and smile lines for last.
- 2Fill the two clouds with pale blue and the sea waves with aqua blue, keeping the sailboat's right sail white.
- 3Color the umbrella panels by alternating bright red and amber orange, and color the umbrella pole light gray.
- 4Fill the sandcastle towers and walls with pale sand, the castle flag with bright red, and the arched door with chocolate brown.
- 5Color the beach ball with bright red, amber orange, leaf green, sky blue, soft yellow and coral orange panels, keeping the small white highlight in the middle.
- 6Color the bucket in deep blue and sky blue, and the seashell in lavender. Optional: add a little darker shading along the bottom edges of the sand and bucket for depth.
