Seaside Ice Cream Cart with Umbrella and Sandcastle
Coloring guide
Right on the sand in this beach scene sits a little ice cream cart, shaded by a big scalloped umbrella. The front of the cart shows a three-scoop cone and two hearts, with three lid panels along the top. A cup of waffle cones is perched beside the umbrella pole, and a wheel and a long handle are drawn on the side. Beyond the cart, wavy water reaches out to two sailboats, and the sky holds a sun and puffy clouds. Up front you'll spot a striped beach ball, a scallop shell and a sandcastle with a tiny flag on top. Shapes are big and clear, so it suits preschoolers and early elementary kids. Pink, brown and cream scoops look sweet, along with bright stripes on the umbrella and beach ball. Print it at home for a classroom project or weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the umbrella with cherry red and golden yellow in alternating panels, leaving the tiny flag-like tip on top neat.
- 2Fill the sea and the big ocean area with ocean blue, and the sky clouds and small cloud with sky blue.
- 3Color the ice cream cart body with sky blue, its top rim with bubblegum pink, and the glass lid panels with pale aqua.
- 4Paint the sandcastle with sandy tan, its door and windows with warm brown, and the pole of the umbrella with warm brown too.
- 5Add the ice cream scoops with caramel brown, the cone with pale sand, and the hearts and beach ball stripes with cherry red and golden yellow.
- 6Optional: Leave the sailboat sails, the flag, and the beach ball center white for a bright highlight, and add light gray to the wheels and handle for a little shine.
