Bedtime Pororo Penguin Snuggling With a Teddy Bear

Tucked into bed with its eyes closed and a tiny beak, this little penguin wears a striped knit beanie with a pom-pom. Its flippers rest on top of a patchwork quilt covered in stars, snowflakes and hearts. Next to it, a smiling teddy bear in a scarf snuggles close, with fluffy pillows piled up behind them. Out the curtained window, snow is falling past two snowy pine trees, and a crescent moon and several stars shine in the night sky. There are plenty of cozy details here for small hands. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the bed frame: color the headboard, the bed posts and the round knobs in warm brown, leaving the thin outlines alone.
- 2Fill the big quilt in blocks: color the top middle square red, the upper left and bottom middle squares medium blue, and the bottom left, bottom right and upper right squares golden yellow, with green edges along the sides.
- 3Color the penguin's back and flippers in slate gray, and its beak in golden yellow, keeping the face white.
- 4Give the pillows a light blue color and the window night sky a midnight blue, with the snowy ground in pale blue and the trees in forest green and deep blue.
- 5Color the curtains and the hat stripes in cherry red, and the stars in golden yellow, leaving the hat's white stripes and the tree snow white.
- 6Finish the teddy bear in caramel for the head, ears and paws, warm brown for the arm and leg, and cherry red for the scarf. Optional: Add a little darker shading under the penguin's flippers for depth.
