Big Shark With Mouth Wide Open and Long Gill Slits

Coloring guide
A large shark swims across the page with its mouth stretched wide open, showing rows of pointed teeth along the upper and lower jaws. You can see one round eye, a nostril near the snout, and a set of long gill slits just behind the head. Rows of small oval spots run along the side of the body, and the tall tail fin, the back fin and the pectoral fins are drawn with simple inner lines. The clean outlines and big open areas make it easy for kids to color without getting frustrated. Try a blue-gray on top and a lighter shade on the belly, then pick a bright color for the inside of the mouth so the teeth stand out. It also works well for a lesson on shark body parts, since fins, gills and teeth are all easy to spot and label.
