Big Tabby Warrior Cat Overlooking a Mountain Valley
Coloring guide
A big striped tabby stands on a rocky ledge, tail curled up behind and wide eyes gazing into the distance. Down below, a winding river runs through a valley of pine trees toward faraway mountains. Two smaller cats walk along a path in the lower right, and a few birds fly across the cloudy sky. Wildflowers and grass tufts fill the bottom left corner, and tall evergreens frame the left side. Fur strokes, tree branches and rock cracks create lots of small areas to color, so it suits confident crayon users as well as older kids who like detail. Warm orange and brown stripes look great on the big cat, with deep greens for the pines and bright pinks and yellows for the flowers. Print it at home for a classroom project or weekend craft. - 1Color the cat's body and legs with tabby orange, leaving the tail tip and chin white and adding the darker stripes on the back and tail in the same orange.
- 2Fill the cat's ears and the inside of each ear with coral pink, and shade the cheeks with light orange.
- 3Paint the river with river blue and the mountains with mountain blue and soft blue, keeping the sky and clouds white.
- 4Color the pine trees with forest green and meadow green, then add bright green and yellow green to the bushes and grassy banks.
- 5Color the rocks under the cat with light gray and medium gray, and fill the walking kittens and dirt path with sand tan.
- 6Optional: Add a little teal green to the mountain slopes and pale blue to the small sky patches for extra depth.
