Boy and Girl With Sparklers on the 4th of July

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the bushes, tree leaves and grass in leafy green, and the fence in sandy tan, leaving the sky and the clouds mostly white.
- 2Fill the boy's t-shirt in bright blue and the girl's t-shirt in hot pink, keeping the small flower on her shirt white.
- 3Color the boy's shorts in sandy tan and the girl's shorts in denim blue, then add the shorts cuffs in soft blue.
- 4Use peach skin for faces, necks, arms, hands and legs, keeping the eye whites and smiles white.
- 5Paint the hair in chestnut brown, the girl's headband in golden yellow, the sun and sparkler stars in lemon yellow, the house wall in pale butter yellow and the roof in red.
- 6Finish with the shoes in bright blue and light gray, the windows in bright sky blue, and leave the socks white. Optional: add a little darker shading under the hair and along the shirts for depth.
