Boy Hugging His Dog on a Tile Floor

A young boy crouches on a tiled floor with his arms wrapped around a dog, pressing his face against the dog's face with his eyes closed and a big smile. The boy has short hair with a fringe, a loose short-sleeved shirt drawn with dotted lines along the seams, and sneakers with straps. His knees are bent and his feet are crossed in front of him. The dog stands facing him and wears a collar with a round tag hanging down. You can see its front paws on the floor and part of its body stretching off to the right. The simple lines and large open spaces suit younger kids who are still building pencil control. Try coloring the shirt in a pattern by filling in the dotted sections with different colors, then pick a bright color for the collar tag so it stands out. This free page also works well for a short talk about caring for pets.
