Jumping Boy Snags a Baseball Near the Fence
Coloring guide
With one arm stretched high, this young player leaps up to catch a ball in his big leather glove. He wears a cap, a short-sleeved jersey with buttons, a belt, long pants with a stripe down the side, tall socks, and cleats. His other arm swings out behind him and his legs kick up, so the whole picture feels full of motion. A tall wooden plank fence stands behind him, three puffy clouds float in the sky, and a few grass tufts sit along the bottom. The ball's stitching is drawn in, a fun little detail for small hands. Royal blue on the cap and jersey trim looks good, along with a warm brown glove. Print or download this free page for a screen-free activity at home. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky clouds: color the three fluffy clouds in sky blue and leave the rest of the sky white.
- 2Fill the wooden fence in tan, working panel by panel, and keep the top rails and posts the same tan shade.
- 3Color the boy's cap in royal blue, with the front brim in cherry red, then add the hair in chestnut brown.
- 4Paint the skin tones on the face, neck, ears, and both arms in light peach, leaving the collar edges white.
- 5Color the jersey in royal blue and the pants in light gray, then add the navy blue shoes and the chestnut brown baseball glove.
- 6Optional: Keep the socks, jersey buttons, and collar stripe white for a crisp, clean finish.
