Christmas Doodle Mix of Stars, Candy Canes and Presents

Three big outlined stars sit on the left of this packed Christmas doodle, surrounded by hanging baubles with zigzag and striped bands. Candy canes curl through the middle, and a small bird perches near a lit candle. Wrapped presents with ribbons are stacked beside two little houses with chimneys. Near the top you can spot a round clock face, a tree with scalloped branches and a folded ribbon banner. A cluster of berries sits on the right, icicles hang near the bottom, and swirls, spirals and patterned stripes fill every gap. Because the shapes are so crowded, it works well for older kids, teens and adults who like detail. Try picking a small palette of three or four colors, then use a different one for each ornament pattern so the stripes and zigzags stand out against the swirly background. Fine tip markers or sharp colored pencils will help in the smallest spaces. Print it free and color it a little at a time over a few evenings.
