Captain America Leaping Forward With Shield and Stars

A muscular Captain America lunges toward the viewer with one fist raised high and the other arm pushed forward. He wears his cowl with the forehead marking, a scale-pattern top, gloves with flared cuffs, and boots. A large round shield sits at the lower right, with rings around the edge and a big star in the center. Eight pointed stars fill the space around him, and each one has cracks and chipped edges, with small broken fragments floating nearby. The bold black shapes and thin line work give a lot of contrast. Try leaving the shield's center star white and coloring the rings in two different shades, then pick a cool tone for the cracked stars so they stand out from the hero. The scale texture is a good fine-motor challenge for older kids using colored pencils. This printable page also works well for a lesson on shading and light.
