Three grinning young players whoop it up in the middle of a big celebration. The tallest stands in the center holding a football high in one hand while his other fist pumps the air. Two smaller teammates in helmets and face masks run in from either side with happy smiles and open arms. Stars and little rectangles of confetti drift across the sky above. Behind the team you'll spot a stadium fence, patches of grass and a tall goal post at the right edge. Every player has a striped helmet, jersey, knee pads, striped socks and cleats, so there are lots of areas to color. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the grass field and stadium wall: color the grass areas in grass green and the stadium wall strip in sky blue, leaving the field lines white.
- 2Fill the three players' jerseys, sleeves, helmets and knee pads in bright red, leaving the helmet stripes and sleeve stripes white.
- 3Color the faces, necks and raised arms in peach skin, then add the football in football brown with white laces.
- 4Give the goal post and the sideline post a bright yellow finish, and color the shorts and sock stripes in white as they are.
- 5Color the shoes in charcoal black, then add the small confetti and star shapes in pale lime or golden yellow if you like.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the red jerseys and the green grass edges to make the scene look more lively.
