Cheerful Elf with Mustache and Christmas Presents

A smiling character in a pointed Santa-style hat throws both arms up in the air, surrounded by wrapped gifts. He has big round eyes, a rounded nose, and a wide curly mustache over an open mouth. His buttoned tunic has two buttons, and below it are striped shorts with fuzzy trim at the legs, plus oversized shoes. Three presents sit around him, two with ribbon bows and zigzag patterns on the sides, and one with plain vertical ribbon stripes. A string of bulb-shaped holiday lights hangs across the top of the page. The big open spaces on the gift boxes are great for practicing patterns. Try filling each zigzag band with a different color, or use alternating colors on the striped shorts and the light bulbs. This free printable works well for a quick December classroom activity or a quiet afternoon at home.
