Child Skiing Past Bunny, Skater and Sledding Girl

A child in a brimmed cap and a long fringed scarf glides downhill on two skis, holding a ski pole in each mitten and pursing their lips as if concentrating. In the background, a girl in a headscarf and short coat skates on a smooth patch of ice near two snow-covered evergreen trees. Up on the hill, another child in a pom-pom hat with a long scarf trailing behind sits on a sled. At the bottom of the page, a rabbit with a fluffy round tail sits with its back turned, and a small squirrel peeks in from the corner. Try coloring the three scarves in different patterns, such as stripes or plaid, and then ask your child to point out which kids are moving fast and which are gliding slowly. The printable page also works well for talking about winter sports and animals that stay active in the cold.
