Eastern Dragon in a Figure Eight Among Clouds

A long Eastern style dragon curls its striped body into a big figure eight loop across the page. The head sits near the center with two ringed horns, a jagged mane sweeping back, narrow eyes, a toothy open mouth, and a spiky frill under the chin. Swirly clouds sit beside the face and on the lower coil. Three clawed feet reach out from the body, one at the upper left, one inside the lower curl, and one at the right edge. Wide curved bands cross the body like belly scales, and small spines run along the back. Try coloring each band in a gradient from green to blue, then leave the clouds soft gray or pale yellow so the head stands out. This free printable also works well for talking about how dragons look in Chinese folklore.
