Nose to Nose Embrace With Harley Quinn Pigtails
Coloring guide
Two people stand face to face in a close, romantic embrace in this line-art scene, noses almost touching. On the left, a figure with long hair in big pigtails tilts their face up and rests a hand on the other person's shoulder. On the right, a taller man with short hair looks down with a slight smile, one arm around the figure's back. He wears a collared jacket, and the fabric folds are drawn with long, flowing lines. The page has no background, so it's clean and uncluttered, and the faces and hair are easy to focus on. Bold outlines hold up to confident crayon work, though the closeness of the faces suits older kids and teens best. Try a warm tone for the skin and two contrasting colors for the pigtails. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- light peach
- chocolate brown
- ocean blue
- lavender purple
- caramel
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the large skin areas: fill the man's face, neck and hand, and the woman's cheek, chin and arm with light peach, leaving the teeth and eye highlights white.
- 2Color the hair next: use chocolate brown for the woman's pigtail, the top of her hair, the strands near her face and the man's hair.
- 3Fill the clothing with ocean blue for the man's shirt, jacket and sleeve, and use lavender purple for the woman's top and the purple sleeve at the bottom.
- 4Add caramel to the shadowed spots on the woman's fingers and under her mouth to give the hand some depth.
- 5Leave the gap between the faces, the left background and the bottom left corner white so the figures stand out.
- 6Optional: Add a few extra darker strokes of chocolate brown in the hair for texture, and a touch of caramel on the shadowed side of the faces.
