A large plain cross with a beveled, double-line border stands tilted slightly across the page, and a cluster of lilies is gathered around its base. Three open lilies sit low on the cross with long pointed petals, thin stamens reaching out from the centers, and big curving leaves wrapped around the stems. One more lily blossom rests on the upper left arm of the cross, with its petals folded in different directions. The cross itself is left empty, so there is a lot of open space to color. Try a soft wash of gray, tan, or wood-brown on the cross, then use whites, yellows, and pale pinks for the petals and a few shades of green for the leaves. It makes a calm printable activity for a Good Friday lesson or quiet table time at home.
