A cartoon puppy sits on the ground with its body turned to the side and its head looking up and off to the right. It has big round eyes, a small dark nose, and an open smiling mouth. One ear flops down on the left and the other sticks up and curls over on the right. A small tuft of hair sticks up on top of the head, and there is fluffy fur on the cheek and chest. The puppy wears a simple collar around its neck. Its tail curls up at the back, and each paw has little toe lines. The outlines are bold and the shapes are large, so younger kids can color inside them easily. Try a patchy coat with two or three browns, then pick a bright color for the collar. It also works well for talking about the different parts of a dog, like ears, paws, and tail.
