A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the mermaid's tail and scales in turquoise, adding sky blue to some scales and light aqua to a few small highlight spots, and leave the belt strip white.
- 2Fill the face, neck, shoulders, arms and belly with soft skin tone, leaving the eye whites and smile teeth white.
- 3Color the hair and both hair buns in coral red, then add lavender purple shells on the hair and shell top, keeping the thin hair highlight streaks white.
- 4Paint the big rock in medium gray and the starfish in orange, with its base in orange too, then color the seaweed in leaf green.
- 5Add the sea friends: the fish body in lemon yellow with orange fins, the seahorse in lavender purple with pale yellow stripes, and the bubbles in sky blue.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shade of turquoise along the tail edges and under the rock for depth.
