Stringing Christmas Lights with Daddy Pig from Peppa Pig
Coloring guide
Daddy Pig is bundled up in a woolly bobble hat, a chunky scarf and a buttoned winter coat. Between his hands he holds a long string of round bulb lights. He looks up with a smile, and his round glasses, whiskers and small boots are drawn in simple, bold lines. Next to him stands a tall Christmas tree in a little pot, with a star on top and waiting to be decorated. One ground line runs behind them, leaving lots of open space to fill. Thick outlines and large shapes suit preschoolers and early learners, and it's a free printable that works well for a holiday afternoon. Try the bulbs in alternating reds, yellows and blues with a bright gold star, so the lights show up against the green tree. Kids who like Peppa Pig coloring pages usually enjoy Tom and Jerry and The Flintstones too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the pig's head, snout and forehead with baby pink, leaving the snow and the small shine spots white.
- 2Color the jacket, both sleeves and the shoulders with medium blue, then fill the lower jacket areas.
- 3Use bright red for the scarf, its hanging tail and fringe, the knit hat, its pompom and the brim.
- 4Color the Christmas tree and both boots with forest green, then fill the tree pot with bright red and the tree base area.
- 5Add the string of lights: use steel blue, grass green, olive green, light brown, pale yellow, mustard yellow and golden yellow for the bulbs, leaving a few tiny bulb highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a darker pink to the cheek blush and a little extra shade under the hat for depth.
