Daddy Pig Settles into an Armchair with the News

Daddy Pig sits back in a big armchair with a newspaper held open in front of him. He wears round glasses and looks down at the page with a small smile. His cheek is a plain white circle, and short whisker lines mark his chin and jaw. His snout has two dots for nostrils, and two rounded ears stand up on top of his head. The newspaper is covered in dashed lines for text, with three square boxes that look like pictures. One small shoe shows below the paper and another peeks out near the chair legs. The shapes are large and the lines are bold, so it works well for younger kids with chunky crayons. Try coloring the three newspaper boxes in different bright colors, then ask your child to guess what photo or story each one could hold. This free printable also gives plenty of room for a cozy chair pattern.
