Spiky-Maned Leaping Lion of the Detroit Lions

A leaping lion fills the top of the page, drawn in a double outline with a thin inner line that follows the edge of the body. The lion has a spiky mane, a curled tail with a pointed tip, and its front paws are stretched forward as if mid pounce. Its back legs push off below, and a few curved lines mark the face and mane. Underneath, the word LIONS is written in large, slanted, hollow letters with sharp swooping tails. The open shapes are easy to fill in, and the thin double outline makes a nice border to shade separately. Try Honolulu blue for the lion and silver or gray for the inner outline, then fill the block letters to match. It also works well for a game day craft or a team color lesson. Print as many copies as you need for the classroom or a watch party.
