Dolphin Leaping Out of the Sea at Sunset

Dolphin Leaping Out of the Sea at Sunset coloring page

Coloring guide

A single dolphin arcs up out of the water with its nose pointed toward the sky and its tail still near the splash at the bottom. You can see its round eye, a small curved smile, a large side flipper, and a tail fin at the left with a few drips falling from it. Jagged splash lines mark the spot where it left the sea. Behind it, a half sun sits on the horizon beside a small flat cloud. Little wavy dashes are scattered across the water. The big open shapes make this an easy page for younger kids to color, and the printable works well for a calm afternoon. Try blending blues and grays on the dolphin's body, then use warm yellows and oranges for the sun so the animal stands out against the sunset. Kids can also color the water in a few shades of blue and count the wave marks as they go.
