Dumbo and Timothy Mouse Meeting in a Flower Meadow

A young elephant with very large floppy ears stands in a grassy meadow, wearing a small pointed hat with a rolled brim and a wavy-edged collar around his neck. He looks down and to the right with his trunk raised toward a tiny mouse standing on a rock. The mouse wears a buttoned jacket and a cap, holds a long feather in one raised hand, and stretches the other arm out wide. In the foreground you can see daisy-style flowers, two bell-shaped flowers drooping near the rock, and small tufts of grass. A hedge line appears faintly in the background on the right. The big ears and the wavy collar are good spots to try two different shades of crayon. You could also ask kids to color the feather a bright color, then talk about why the little mouse is holding it. This printable page works well for quiet table time at home or in the classroom.
