Easter Egg Tied With a Big Floppy Bow

A large oval egg fills the page, wrapped with a big bow near the top. The bow has two wide loops on either side of a rounded center knot, and each loop has a few curved lines inside to show folds in the ribbon. Two long ribbon tails hang down over the front of the egg, with notched ends and fold lines running along their length. A few straight and slightly curved bands wrap around the sides of the egg, peeking out behind the ribbon. The shapes are big and the lines are clean, so it works well for younger kids with chunky crayons. Try coloring the egg in a soft pastel and the bow in a bold contrasting shade, then use two tones on the ribbon tails to show which folds face forward.
