Easter Egg with Hearts and Swirly Wave Bands

Easter Egg with Hearts and Swirly Wave Bands coloring sheet

Coloring guide

A single large egg fills the page, decorated in horizontal rows. Two rows of outlined hearts, three in each row, sit between bands of curling wave patterns. Similar wave bands run across the top and the bottom of the egg, and another one crosses the middle. Each wave ends in a spiral at its curled tip, and the pattern runs off the edges of the egg so some swirls are cut short at the sides. The lines are bold and the shapes are roomy, which makes this a good pick for younger kids using crayons or chunky markers. Try coloring all the hearts in one warm shade and giving each wave band its own color, so children can see how repeating patterns work. Print as many copies as you like and let a group decorate their own matching eggs.
