Elf Sitting on Stocking Beside Christmas Tree

A smiling elf in a pointed hat with a pom-pom sits on the top edge of a big hanging stocking, legs dangling down the front. He wears a collar with zigzag points, a long-sleeved tunic, and pointed boots. Next to him stands a Christmas tree topped with a large star. The tree is decorated with round ornaments in different sizes, a diamond-shaped ornament, a small star, and a leaf-shaped cutout near the top. A square shape peeks out behind the tree on the right. The big open areas on the stocking and tree are easy to fill in for younger kids. Try coloring the round ornaments in a pattern, like red, gold, and blue, then ask your child to point out the biggest and smallest circles. This free printable also works well for a quick holiday sorting or counting activity.
