Farmer, Kids and Puppy on a Tractor Ride
Coloring guide
Across a wheat field, a smiling farmer in a wide-brimmed hat steers his tractor while two children perch on the big rear fender behind him. The girl wears a ponytail, overalls and boots, and the boy has on a cap and a short-sleeved shirt. A fluffy puppy with a collar and tag bounds beside the front wheel, tongue out. Tall wheat stalks fill the foreground, with a few puffy clouds and rolling hills behind. The tractor has a tall exhaust pipe, round headlights, a slatted grille and chunky tires, so there are shapes for every skill level. It's a free printable that suits preschoolers and early elementary kids. A bright red tractor with golden yellow wheat looks great, and the puppy can get a soft brown coat and a blue collar. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the tractor body, hood and big wheels in tractor red, leaving the wheel centers for later.
- 2Fill the farmer's overalls, the girl's overalls and the boy's jeans with denim blue or medium blue, and the farmer's shirt with light blue.
- 3Color the grass, bushes and wheat stalks in grass green and lime green, leaving the wheat outlines white for a light, airy look.
- 4Paint the puppy in golden yellow, then add its collar and paws in a slightly darker shade if you like.
- 5Color the tractor grille, tire tread and shadows in charcoal gray, and the exhaust pipe in silver gray. Keep the sky and clouds white.
- 6Finish with details: straw yellow hats, peach skin, bubblegum pink boots and ginger brown hair. Optional: Add a little darker shading under the tractor and tires for depth.
