Cottage Garden Bunny from Calico Critters
Coloring guide
Standing upright with its paws together at its chest, this fluffy bunny has big sparkly eyes, a tiny smile and tall rounded ears. A snug cottage sits behind it with a scalloped roof that looks covered in snow, a brick chimney topped with a puffy swirl, a round arched door made of vertical planks and a small round window. Oval stepping stones wind from the doorway toward the front of the page. Leafy bushes stand on both sides of the house, and grass tufts and daisy-style flowers fill the bottom corners. Small hands will like the big open shapes on the bunny and roof, while older kids can spend time on the stones and bricks. Pale pink or soft lavender would suit the ears, and a warm brown works for the wooden door. A free printable that's nice for a quiet afternoon. Love this Calico Critters coloring page? - 1Start with the roof: color the thatched roof coral red, leaving the small highlight strokes white.
- 2Fill the cottage walls, including the right side and the area by the door, with pale cream.
- 3Color the bunny's head, body, and paws tan, keeping the eyes, nose shine, and smile area white.
- 4Use warm brown for the round door and its planks, add a golden yellow knob, and color the window panes sky blue with golden yellow frames.
- 5Color the chimney bricks and the stepping stones light gray, then add the bunny's ivory tail and baby pink inner ears.
- 6Finish the garden: fill the bushes and grass with leaf green and lime green, color the flower centers golden yellow, and leave the flower petals white. Optional: add a little darker shading under the bunny and along the roof edge for depth.
