Kickoff Ready American Football on a Tee with Sun and Grass
Coloring guide
Right in the middle of the page, a big upright football rests on a kicking tee, waiting for the kickoff. It has bold stripes near each tip, a seam running top to bottom, and a row of chunky laces down the center that little fingers can trace. Tufts of grass sit in the bottom corners, and a plain round sun with short rays glows in the upper right. Younger kids will like the large open areas on the ball while they practice crayon control, and older kids can spend time on the laces and stripes. A warm brown ball with white laces and stripes looks great, with a sunny yellow sun and green grass around it. It's a free printable PDF, handy for a screen-free afternoon. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- warm brown
- sky blue
- golden yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the large football body, both upper and lower sections, with warm brown, leaving the white stripes and the lace area untouched.
- 2Color the tee at the bottom of the football with sky blue, keeping the small inner curve of the tee lighter if you like.
- 3Color the sun in the top right corner with golden yellow, leaving the rays outlined.
- 4Keep the two stripes across the football and the lace pattern in the center white so they stand out against the brown.
- 5Optional: Add a few light brown strokes on the football body to give it a bit of texture, following the curve of the ball.
