Leaning forward with a wide bulldozer blade on its arm, this smiling square-headed robot pushes a pile of big rounded boulders off a mountain path. Its body is full of bolts, circles and panels to color, and it has a rectangular chest window and round ear-like discs on either side of its head. A winding road curves past a rocky ledge behind it, with tall pine trees, a faraway mountain, a steep rocky cliff and a diamond-shaped road sign on a post. Small pebbles and stones are scattered over the ground. Little hands will like the large shapes, and older kids can take on the bolts and cracks in the rocks. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by coloring the robot's head, torso, and arms in bright yellow, leaving the two eyes white with just a small highlight.
- 2Fill the bulldozer blade, its top edge, and the head rim with golden yellow, then add mustard yellow to the small elbow cap on the right arm.
- 3Color the knee guards, ankles, feet, and chest panel with royal blue and bright blue, using sky blue on the small joint circles and light sky blue on the ear pads and center joints.
- 4Use medium gray for all the big boulders at the bottom and right, and color the small rocks on the ground the same way, adding a touch of brown to the cliff rocks on the left.
- 5Color the trees in forest green, the distant mountain in steel blue, and the road and sign details in golden yellow and bright yellow.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the gray boulders and the blue parts to make the robot look more solid.
