Friendly Cartoon Whale Shark With Spotted Back

Coloring guide
A smiling whale shark swims toward the viewer, drawn with big round eyes and a wide, gentle grin. Its broad flat head leads into a long body covered in rows of small oval spots, with curved vertical stripes running along the side near the tail. You can see the tall spotted dorsal fin on top, a smaller fin behind it, a long pointed tail fin on the left, and large pectoral fins with more dots on the bottom and right. Gill slits are drawn just behind the head. The outlines are thick and clean, so it works well for younger kids with crayons or markers. Try coloring the spots in a few different shades against a blue or gray body, then talk about how real whale sharks have unique spot patterns, a bit like fingerprints. This free printable is also handy for ocean unit lessons.
