There's lots to color around the room: a wall clock, a framed star picture, a triangle pennant banner, and a window with trees outside. The bookshelf holds books, a globe, a cup of pencils and leafy potted plants. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the large wooden areas: color the desk, the wooden floor, the window frame and the chair in wood brown, leaving the blank wall spaces white.
- 2Fill the chalkboard and its big background with forest green, then color the tree outside the window in leaf green and the window sky in pale sky blue.
- 3Color the skeleton's skull, arms, legs, spine and ribs in cream white, keeping the rib cage on the chalkboard white in places for a bright bony look.
- 4Add the bright bits: make the apple red, the banner flags in red, yellow, orange, green and blue, and the globe in sky blue.
- 5Use teal for the rug edges and the bookshelf books in ocean blue, bright blue, burnt orange and orange, keeping the book pages white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading to the wood and the floor edges for depth, and leave the clock face and eraser highlights white.
