In the middle of this scene, a fluffy long-haired cat sits on a flat tree stump while a big full moon covered in crater circles shines right behind its head. Three more cats sit in the grass below, all looking up: a striped tabby on the left, a shaggy cat in front, and a patchy-coated cat on the right. A fifth fluffy cat sits at the far right, also gazing upward. Daisy-like flowers, grass tufts and small rocks surround them. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the grass and ground: fill the meadow and flower areas with grass green, and the bushes with leaf green.
- 2Color the full moon and its craters with golden yellow, then fill the mountains with periwinkle and slate blue.
- 3Add the lake and the pine trees: use bright blue for the water and forest green for the trees, then use pale blue for the clouds.
- 4Paint the cats: use warm orange for the striped cat and the orange patches, cream for the fluffy white fur, and charcoal gray for the big front cat.
- 5Fill the rocks with light gray and the calico cat's brown patches with dark brown.
- 6Optional: Add a little light amber on the center cat's tail and paw for a soft glow, and leave the eye shines and small highlights unpainted.
