A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the big blue monster body, head, and hands using sky blue, leaving the eye whites and the teeth white.
2. 2Color the red mixing bowl, the whisk handle, and the rolling pin ends in cherry red, then fill the batter inside the bowl with butter yellow.
3. 3Add wood brown to the counters on both sides and the light tan flour sack, leaving the top opening of the sack white.
4. 4Paint the oven window and oven body in pale blue and light gray, then color the milk bottle in ice blue and the rolling pin in honey orange.
5. 5Fill the frosting on the cupcakes with hot pink and golden yellow, and use rose pink for the tongue.
6. 6Finish the muffin tray and cupcake liners in steel gray, leaving the cupcake liners in pale cream. Optional: add a slightly darker blue along the monster's shadow side for depth.
