Picnic Time for a Fuzzy Antenna Creature, Huggy Wuggy (Poppy Playtime) Page
Coloring guide
Sitting cross-legged on a checkered picnic blanket, a shaggy, smiling creature with two ball-tipped antennae holds a sandwich up to its cheek. Its other hand rests on the handle of a woven wicker basket with a latch. A round teapot with a lid and two apples, one with a leaf and stem, sit out front. Behind the creature are a leafy tree and rounded bushes with little grass tufts. Fuzzy fur means lots of small strokes to color, and the checkered blanket and basket weave are handy for practicing patterns. Red and green apples, a warm golden brown basket and a soft purple or teal body would look nice. Download and print this free page, and maybe keep a few extra copies on hand. - 1Color the fuzzy creature's whole body, arms, hands and feet in orange, leaving the big round eyes white with just black pupils.
- 2Fill the tree foliage and the bushes and grass in the background with grass green, and the tree trunk with tree brown.
- 3Color the checkered picnic cloth by alternating cherry red and white squares, and the apples in cherry red with a little tomato red shading near the bottom.
- 4Color the picnic basket in warm brown with the weave lines left as detail, then fill the teapot in light blue and bright blue as shown.
- 5Color the sandwich bread in light tan and the nose and antenna balls in soft pink and golden yellow.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading with a deeper orange on the creature and a touch of dark green on the background bushes for depth.
