Garden Helper Piglet Hugging an Enormous Carrot

Piglet stands with his back mostly to us, hugging an enormous carrot against his side. The carrot is almost as long as he is, with a ridged, bumpy body, a pointed tip sticking out to the right, and a big leafy top flopping down on the left. His face is turned up and smiling with his eyes closed, and his two big ears stick out wide. He wears his striped shirt, and his round feet are planted on the ground. Small tufts of grass and dirt mounds are scattered around, with a shallow hole nearby where the carrot may have come out. The carrot has lots of wavy lines and the leaves have soft, curly edges, so it works well for practicing careful shading. Try orange and brown tones on the carrot ridges and a few shades of green for the leafy top. This free printable also makes a nice starting point for talking about where vegetables grow.
