Pirate Garfield and Odie in a Rowboat
Coloring guide
Garfield stands proudly in a small wooden boat with one paw on his hip. He has on a big pirate hat with a skull and crossbones, a striped shirt and ragged shorts. Next to him, Odie has a bandana over his eyes like a blindfold and holds a spyglass, long ears flopping up behind him. Up on a little shelf sits a teddy bear in a pirate hat and eye patch, which adds a funny touch. Wavy water surrounds the hull, and there's a swirly spiral sun and two puffy clouds. Large shapes like the hat, boat planks and sun are easy for small hands to fill in. Black or deep red for the hat, orange stripes on Garfield and bright yellow for the spiral sun all work well. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the water at the bottom and the sea around the boat in sky blue, leaving a few small white wave lines.
- 2Fill the pirate hat, Garfield's shirt and the bright red bandana on Odie in bright red, keeping the skull and its eyes white.
- 3Color the boat hull, the bow, the oar and the deck in warm brown and caramel orange, then add the lighter tan on the boat's front edge.
- 4Color Garfield's body in light tan and caramel orange, his pants in navy blue and his vest stripe in dark brown.
- 5Use light gray for Odie's head, ears, arms and hands, and soft pink for the inside of his ears; keep his muzzle and tail white.
- 6Optional: Add a little golden yellow to the hat pompom and the hat brim, and leave the empty sky and background white.
