A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• light green
• light gray
• orange
• sky blue
• grass green
• pale yellow
• bright blue
• bright red
• charcoal gray
• baby pink

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Color the cloud and the sky-facing parts of the skates' accents with sky blue, leaving the cloud's outline clean.
2. 2Fill the big green areas with light green for the lawn and grass green for the bushes and the grass tufts at the bottom.
3. 3Color Garfield's body, tail, arm, paws, ears and head with orange, leaving the big eye whites and the lace area white.
4. 4Fill the muzzle and cheek with pale yellow and add a baby pink nose.
5. 5Color the sidewalk tiles light gray and the skate boots, wheels and heels with bright blue and bright red, keeping the laces white.
6. 6Optional: Add a little charcoal gray to the skate soles and darker orange lines on Garfield's stripes for depth.
