Girl Batter at Home Plate Color by Number

A girl with freckles and a big smile stands in a batting stance, holding a baseball bat up over her shoulder with both gloved hands. She wears a baseball cap, a ponytail swings out behind her, and her cleats are planted near home plate on the field. The numbers show you what to use: 1 is red for the cap, jersey, sleeves and socks, 2 is blue for the pants, 3 is green for the grass and field, and 4 is brown for the bat and the gloves. The key is printed along the bottom of the page. Kids can practice matching numbers to colors while they work around the small shapes on the cap and the sleeves. For a fun extra, let your child pick a team color for the jersey and then talk about what color their favorite team wears. It is a good quiet activity for a rainy afternoon or a sports unit in class.
