Cozy Treehouse Reading Nook For Girls
Coloring guide
Leaning back on a pile of pillows, a girl with long wavy hair in a messy bun rests her chin on one hand and reads a big open book with leafy designs on its pages. She wears a chunky cable-knit sweater, and her patterned socks are propped up behind her. A sleepy cat curls up next to her on a quilted cushion. Look around for string lights, a hanging lantern, a dreamcatcher, a shelf with books and a trailing plant, plus a window showing two little birds on a branch near a birdhouse. In the foreground are a stack of books, a flower-decorated mug and a knitted blanket. From the knit patterns to the heart-covered pillows, this free printable has lots of texture for kids who enjoy detailed coloring. Soft pinks and mint greens suit the pillows, and warm yellow makes the string lights glow. This fits right in with our For Girls coloring pages — see also Graduation and Emoji.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky blue window view and the leaf green bushes and tree leaves outside, leaving the little birds and the leaves' outlines white.
- 2Fill the girl's face, neck and hands with peach skin, keeping the eyes white and adding a soft pink on the cheeks if you like.
- 3Color the open book covers and pages with steel blue, and the pillows and blankets with cream, coral pink and golden yellow, keeping the page highlights white.
- 4Add the tabby orange cat, the brick red and golden yellow quilts, and the stacked books in forest green, steel blue and brick red.
- 5Finish the wooden beams, window frame, shelves and dreamcatcher with caramel brown, then color the mug and the dark brown lantern last.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shade of each color in the folds of the blankets and sweater for extra depth.
