A Girl, a Magic Book and a Garden Fountain: The Legend of Zelda
Coloring guide
Seated on a stone bench, a young girl with a long braid and a flower crown smiles over a large open book while sparkles float up from its pages. Her dress has puffy sleeves, a laced bodice and a small flower at the neckline, and the long skirt spreads across the bench. Behind her a tiered fountain splashes into a round pool, with leafy bushes in back and rose bushes in full bloom on both sides. A few grass tufts poke up around the bench legs. Lots of petals and flowers mean lots to color. Soft pinks and reds suit the roses, sky blue is right for the fountain water, and bright yellow can go on the star-shaped sparkles above the book. It's a free printable that fits a quiet afternoon or a reading-themed lesson. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the flowing lavender dress and both puffy sleeves, leaving the fountain and roses for later.
- 2Color the golden yellow braid, the flower crown and the hair, and fill the face and neck with warm peach, leaving the eye whites and cheek highlights white.
- 3Fill the open book with deep red on both covers and the bottom edge, then add the light pink cuffs at the wrists.
- 4Color the leaf green and dark green bushes and rose leaves, then fill the sky blue and pale aqua fountain water and the cream benches and fountain.
- 5Optional: Leave the fountain's upper sections white for a sparkling look, and add a warm gray background behind the sparkles to make them stand out.
